Viral: Miss Thailand flies to Manila with 17 suitcases

MANILA, Philippines — Thailand's Miss Universe representative on Tuesday made a buzz on social media when her send-off photo showing her 17 suitcases went viral.

Miss Thailand Chalita Sunsanee traveled via Thai Airways with her 17 suitcases containing all her paraphernalia for the 65th Miss Universe pageant slated January 30. She arrived in the country on Tuesday evening.

Netizens noticed Sunsanee’s photos and drew speculations on the content of her suitcases.


Two days before her arrival in the country, Sunsanee also posted a photo of her with her 11 pieces of luggage.

Sunsanee’s photos also went viral as she changed into the country’s national costume of Barong Tagalog and even greeted Filipinos in a video.

Aside from Sunsanee, five other Miss Universe hopefuls arrived in the country ahead of the pageant. These are Miss US Virgin Islands Carolyn Carter, Miss Guyana Soyini Fraser, Miss Brazil Raissa Santana and Miss Costa Rica Carolina Rodriguez.

Some of them posted their photos on their social media accounts.

Other candidates will arrive in the country until Friday. On the other hand, Miss Philippines Maxine Medina had her send-off party on Tuesday.
