MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya talent Sue Ramirez was named the new honorary tourism ambassador for Korea to the Philippines.
Sue is replacing Jessy Mendiola who became the honorary tourism ambassador in 2013.
The actress-singer was chosen by The Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) for her “great image and interest in Korea,” its culture and people. She will then serve as tourism ambassador until November 2018.
Sue took to Instagram her gratefulness after being chosen by the KTO. She also posted photos of her ceremonial appointment where she also met KTO’s directors from various countries.
The 20-year-old actress-singer described her appointment as “a day to remember.”
“So blessed and fortunate to be the honorary ambassador for Korean Tourism here in the Philippines! Thank you so much KTO for this wonderful chance,” she wrote in her Instagram post.
After her appointment, Sue is expected to travel to South Korea to promote and share her experiences to her followers on her social media accounts. It will be her first time to visit the country.
Currently, Sue has 1.4 and 1.7 million followers on her Facebook and Instagram accounts, respectively.
