MANILA, Philippines — Newlyweds Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo are living proof that best friends who turn lovers live happy endings.
In their same-day edit video released by Nice Print Photography and Exige weddings on Wednesday afternoon, the celebrity couple showed their sweet side and still exuded their romantic friendship.
During their wedding preparation, Kaye, whose real name is “Katherine Grace” gave Paul Jake a wedding gift and a letter addressing him as her best friend.
“To my best friend, sir, my love and my soon-to-be husband, I just want to thank you for making my dream and family’s dream come true,” Kaye’s letter to Paul Jake read.
Teary-eyed Kaye also received a letter from Paul Jake which bore his sweet vow of fidelity. "I want you to know that I'll love you for the rest of my life. Walang iba,” the actor said.
The wedding video’s highlight was the two Kapamilya stars' secret handshake gesture before they sealed their marriage with a kiss.
Kaye and Paul Jake got married last Friday. The wedding ceremony was held at the San Pedro Calungsod Chapel, Cebu and the reception followed at the Radisson hotel also in Cebu, where they plan to move.
