Joyce Pilarsky applauded at Brooklyn Fashion Center

MANILA, Philippines - A rousing applause marked the finale of designer Joyce Peñas Pilarsky’s recent show at the 2016 Fashion Week Brooklyn (FWBK) at the Brooklyn Expo Center.

Joyce was declared Grand Champion at the Los Angeles Fashion Week Design Competition nearly a year ago. Last June, she placed third in Accessory Competition at the prestigious International Design Awards in Los Angeles. Recently, she received the Golden Phoenix Awards 2016- Cultural Achievement Award given to women who make a valuable contribution to the economic and cultural life of the world.

Joyce truly makes her fellow Filipinos proud with her works and continues to inspire others. Her continuous effort to promote Philippine fabric and materials through her ensembles is truly a testament to her love for the Philippines. 

A few days before her show, Joyce was among the four featured designers at Macy’s, the world’s biggest department store. “I am so honored to be chosen as one of four designers to showcase their creations at Macy’s.”
