Magpahanggang Wakas hits TV screens today

Last July, I wrote about the main cast of the Never Ever Say Goodbye, one of the working titles of Magpahanggang Wakas. Arci Muñoz and Jericho Rosales have shared how they were thrilled and excited for their very first time working together but never told about the major plot of the series.

Last Sept. 6, the first full trailer of Magpahanggang Wakas was published by ABS-CBN Entertainment on YouTube and has already been viewed more than 80,000 in six days. The network revealed the major plot points of the series.

The three-minute clip reveals that Aryann (Arci) is being sexually abused by his father. It also shows Waldo (Jericho) accidentally killing Aryann’s father as he tries to protect her.

This leads to Waldo being jailed for murder. To make matters worse, it turns out that the jail warden is the brother of Aryann’s father. It prompts Aryann to turn to prostitution to help Waldo. 

Fast forward and Waldo has been freed from prison. The jail warden, however, hunts him down and shots him in the chest. Waldo’s body rolls off a cliff and is thought to have died despite his missing body.

It breaks Aryann, who believes that Waldo is still alive. As days go by, she begins to slowly accept Waldo’s death. She moves on and finds a job in Manila with the help of Juancho (John Estrada), a big shot businessman who once hired her as a prostitute.

As fates have it, Aryann and Waldo meet again. But not after Aryann has accepted Juancho’s proposal to be his wife.

Angelo Jake Factor: “Yey! Finally, bumalik din yung ganitong mga obra. I prefer teleseryes like this to be watched on primetime kesa sa pakilig-kilig lang na wala masyado pinatutunguhan ang kwento. Yung masasabi mong pinag-planuhan yung storya. I hope it would be on a primetime slot. This would be Arci’s big break.”

Beverly Salina Martinez: “Yes, di kita pakakawalan. Subaybayan talaga kita. Love it kasi idol ko si Jericho Rosales. Sana yong leading lady nya si Kristine Hermosa. Kahit na ganoon OK may bagong pag-aabalahan naman ako pagkatapos sa work...excited.”

Dianalyn Rose Sulit Cabal: “It’s nice to know that ABS-CBN is back in giving worthwhile teleserye on primetime. Nakakasawa na po yung puro love teams nalang sa gabi.”

Magpahanggang Wakas will begin airing tonight on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida, taking the timeslot of Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador’s Born for You.
