MANILA, Philippines – Solenn Heussaff was criticized by the netizens for agreeing to use a fake fox costume for her FHM magazine cover.

On Monday, Solenn posted a photo of the magazine’s cover and in the caption clarified that “the fox is fake. No animals were harmed for this shoot.”

However, this didn’t pacify the netizens who said that even if it is a fake fox, it somehow promotes “animal cruelty.”

The Kapuso actress then explained in the comments section that the use of the fake fox is only for the theme of the shoot “like any movie, like 'Game of Thrones.'”

She also reiterated that the fox is “fake what else do you want.”

“Don’t start lecturing me on what I support and don’t because you don’t know me,” she said.

She also expressed her “frustration” over why she should explain what they do in the name of art.

“It’s so sickening now a days how people always have to explain things like this. Frustrating really,” she said.

“You don’t like the shot, don’t comment, get on with your life. Thanks,” she added.
