Vice Ganda launches new book

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – After establishing himself with high-rating TV shows, sold-out concerts and record-breaking movies, Vice Ganda has once again added another milestone in his career after setting the record for biggest book launch by a Filipino celebrity author last July 15.

Vice Ganda had a grand meet-and-greet event and book launch of his debut book titled, President Vice: Ang Bagong Panggulo ng Pilipinas, under ABS-CBN Publishing, Inc. (API) at the Skydome of SM City North Edsa. It was attended by thousands of fans of the It’s Showtime! and Gandang Gabi Vice host.

In the book, Vice Ganda gives his answers on how to solve the country’s problems — from new traffic management rules to mandates on cheating beaus.

He said the book was partly inspired by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and his message of change. It is a wacky look into a world where Vice Ganda becomes the next president of the country.

Readers can find Vice Ganda’s fictional cabinet members, his new national bird and his punishment for cheaters. The book is jam-packed with Vice Ganda’s straightforward solutions that are hilariously witty.

Also included in President Vice is his State of the Nation Address (SONA), part of which was also performed during the book launch. The audience in the Skydome was laughing out loud as Vice Ganda delivered punchline after punchline during his SONA. Joining him in the event were Pooh, MC and Lassy, DJ Jai Ho of MOR 101.9 and Ryan Bang.

President Vice is the latest addition in API’s successful line of bestselling books. Vice Ganda joins an elite roster of API authors, including Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Alex Gonzaga, Georgina Wilson, Solenn Heussaff and Ramon Bautista.

The book is exclusively available in all National Book Store outlets nationwide for only P175.
