Ely Buendia, Nathan Sykes headline Smart Music Live concert

MANILA, Philippines – It felt like a payday Friday on a Thursday for the concert goers of Smart Music Live.

On Thursday, six OPM and foreign artists filled Smart-Araneta Coliseum with music that both transcends time and touches the soul.

It was CRWN who kicked the night off with his smooth beats, including his hit song “Wait.”

The band Autotelic was also present, performing their hits like “Dahilan,” “Misteryoso” and their latest single “Gising Na.”


 

Of course when one speaks of “soulful music,” who would forget the OPM band Up Dharma Down? They made everyone swoon with their hits like “Tadhana” “Oo” and “Indak.”


 

From soulful music to that sing your heart out hits courtesy of Aegis made everyone sung to their hit songs “Basang Basa sa Ulan” “Halik” and “Luha.”


 

Foreign act Nathan Sykes was also there that night and performed his hits “Over and Over Again,” “Kiss Me Quick” and “Almost is Never Enough.”

 

The final act, which his fans hope was not his last, was Ely Buendia.

He took the term “throwback Thursday” literally and had everyone singing his all-time hits like “Alapaap,” “Ligaya,” “’Wag Mo na Itanong” and his final song “Ang Huling El Bimbo.”

 

This is just the start of the Smart Music Live concert series, as Smart gears up for the concerts of  Selena Gomez and In the Mix here in Manila.
