WATCH: Boy George gives message to the LGBT community after Orlando shooting

MANILA, Philippines – Boy George and the band Culture Club sent out their love to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community after the tragic Orlando shooting.

The incident happened on June 12 (American Time), where an armed man killed 50 people in a nightclub in Orlando.

Amidst the tragic incident, Boy George acknowledged that there are still some who are “hanged up with sexuality” and wished to “live in a world where that's not an issue.”

He then told the LGBT community to focus on the people who “love you, accept you” instead of “wasting energy to the people who don’t.”

“I always say to people that self love is the most powerful thing,” he added. “It's not arrogance. Self love, confidence, [and] be proud of who you are.”
