MANILA, Philippines – Alessandra de Rossi ended the rumors that she’s in a relationship with Mark Abaya.
There have been reports that they’re in a relationship because of their closeness.
“Hindi, hindi talaga,” said Alessandra in an interview in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” aired on Wednesday.
“Magkaibigan talaga kami. Hindi na nga kami umabot sa part na magkaibigan, dumiretso kami sa magkapatid,” she added.
Meanwhile, Alessandra admitted that she almost quitted showbiz, which she narrated in her song “Swept Away.”
This idea dawned upon her when she felt tired doing antagonist roles in her TV projects.
“Hindi ako nai-inspire, hindi ako nakaka-inspire,” she said, explaining her sentiments. “So ng time na 'yon sabi ko, 'ano 'yang ginawa n'yo kay Alessandra de Rossi? Ginawa n'yo na siyang monster.' Wala na siyang nagawa to inspire anyone to be better.”
These kinds of roles given to her, she said, are very different from her “chill” attitude at home.
“Kasi lagi lang akong nang-aagaw, nananapak, pumapatay ng tao. Hindi ako ganyan, e,” she explained. “Sa totoong buhay hindi ako nagagalit. Sa bahay namin sobrang chill ko, walang nagsisigawan, wala talaga. Then all of a sudden three times sa taping [nagsisigawan]. So hindi ko na kaya.”
Good thing she has independent films, where she thought she was able to redeem herself from her antagonist roles in TV.
Alessandra is nominated for best actress at the 2016 Gawad Urian awards for her film “Bambanti.” The awards night will happen on June 22 at the Kia Theater. – Joyce Jimenez
