Janella Salvador says Elmo Magalona’s relationship not affecting their rapport

MANILA, Philippines – Janella Salvador denied that there’s awkwardness between her and Elmo Magalona while doing their upcoming show “Born for You.”

Elmo is in a relationship with Kapuso actress Janine Gutierrez, which some think will make it hard for them to pull off their romantic scenes in the show.

“Kapag naman nasa mode kami na gano’n work lang talaga,” she said in a group interview with the press on Tuesday.

She added that she already met Janine since they endorse the same shampoo brand, and that she respects their relationship.

Janella was first paired with Marlo Mortel, and their love team has a big following. This is why some of the “MarNella” fans were saddened that she was paired with a different actor.

“Hindi ko naman maiiwasan ‘yon,” she replied when asked about the negative reactions of her fans about her new love team.

She’s just thankful that “nakita ko naman na may ibang fans na sinasabi nila susuportahan pa rin nila ako.”

This is the first TV series that Janella will do, which focuses on a love story. Her first show was the family-oriented morning show “Be Careful with My Heart” and was followed by the morning show “Oh My G!” which focuses on faith.

The 18-year-old singer-actress knows that they had to work hard for this show, yet doesn’t forget to “just really enjoy what we’re doing and we’re hoping for the best sa show.”

“Born for You” will start airing on June 20, replacing “The Story of Us” in the primetime block of ABS-CBN.
