Former beauty queen aspirant part of Duterte’s security detail

MANILA, Philippines – The female cop who is one of the security details of presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte is a former beauty queen.

Philippine National Police Inspector Sofia Loren Deliu made rounds in news last year, after she became the second cop who tried a hand in the world of beauty pageant.

She joined Miss Earth 2015, after PO2 Niel Perez represented Philippines at the Mister International competition in Seoul, Korea.

In a report in GMA’s news program “Saksi” on Thursday, Deliu met with Duterte last Sunday and was noticed by some viewers.

Before her Miss Earth stint, Deliu has joined Miss Teen Philippines in 2006 and Miss Baguio in 2008. She was a graduate of BS Tourism before she entered the Philippine National Police Academy in Baguio in 2006.

She also had a modeling experience and started to enter the industry at the age of 14.
