MANILA, Philippines – Annabelle Rama is not interested in any government position to be offered by the Duterte administration.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, the incoming president of the Philippines, is good friends with Annabelle. She even visited him a week after the elections to congratulate him for his lead in the unofficial tally of the Commission on Elections.
“Ay hindi naman, dyusko!” she replied laughing when asked if she has requested for any government position from Duterte, in an interview on Thursday during the birthday celebration of publicist and columnist Jun Lalin.
“Kung gusto kong humingi ng position madali pero kaso nga wala akong alam,” she explained. “Wala akong experience. Ayoko naman na basta ka na lang magkaroon ka ng position na wala ka namang ginagawa. E, 'di titirahin ka pa diyan 'di ba?”
“Wala akong hiningi,” she repeated.
She added that she doesn’t want to be labelled among those people who “dahil sikat ka you will have a position pero wala ka namang alam gawin. Ayoko naman ng ganon. Wala, hindi ako interesado.”
Meanwhile, Annabelle said they’re now preparing for the fourth season of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.”
She said they’re planning to shoot the show here in the Philippines since all of her children are busy with work.
Given a chance, she would like to feature her hometown, Cebu, in the show since she believes there are a lot of things to explore in the place.
