Dominique Cojuangco recounts experience at world's biggest high society fashion event
MANILA, Philippines — "I went to the ball hoping to leave with a handful of new friends. However, I found genuine friendships in every single one of the girls," said Dominique Cojuangco, as she recalls her Le Bal des Débutante experience in one of her videos on YouTube.
Last week, Dominique uploaded a clip about the aristocratic event held last year, in which she was chosen as a representative for the Philippines.

"It was such an honor to be the fifth Filipina to represent the country in a ball that has been recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the top social events anticipated annually," she said in the 7-minute clip.
In the video, the daughter of businessman Tonyboy Cojuangco and actress Gretchen Barretto is seen wearing her Vivienne Westwood gown and Christian Louboutin shoes, attending photoshoots and rehearsals with her fellow debutantes.
Photos of her during the event has been featured in world-renowned magazines such as Teen Vogue and You magazine.
Since being founded in 1992, Le Bal, the world's biggest high society fashion event held every in November in Paris, has been supporting charities all over the world, including the Philippines. In fact, last year's proceeds are used to fund education of women of Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.
