Wenn Deramas laid to rest

MANILA, Philippines — TV and movie Wenn Deramas's remains were brought to his final resting place on Sunday.

The comedy director was laid to rest at around noon at the Himlayang Pilipino in Quezon City, along with sister Myra Ann Deramas. 

The two both passed away on Monday. Wenn died due to cardiac arrest.

Fans and colleagues paid their final respects to the director, including Vice Ganda, BB Gandanghari and Claudine Barretto, among others. 

A mass was held for Wenn at the Dolphy Theater inside the ABS-CBN Compound at 10 a.m., before his remains were brought to the Himlayang Pilipino. 

ABS-CBN also organized a tribute for the late director on Saturday. — Chuck Smith
