Jolina got emotional when asked if it has already accepted what happened to Deramas, in an interview after her album launch on Tuesday.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala hanggang ngayon,” she replied when she has composed herself after moved to tears.
The Kapamilya actress heard about the death of the director through her dad who called her husband Mark Escueta to deliver the news. She was in denial until her husband confirmed Deramas’ death through the news.
Jolina said the director was not only a big part of her career but also of her personal life, and she knows there are a lot of people whose lives were touched by Deramas.
“Sobrang bait niyang tao,” she said describing the director.
She also admired the talent of Deramas, who she said was a big loss to the showbiz industry.
Now that she has released a new album, “Back to Love,” which she regrets that the director has missed, she dedicated a song for him.
“Ganito Pala ang Pag-ibig,” she replied when asked what song from the album she dedicates to him. She then got emotional and composed herself for a while before continuing her answer.
“Kaya ‘Ganito Pala Ang Pag-ibig’ kasi sa kantang ito sobrang saya namin, e,” she explained, referring to her husband Mark Escueta who wrote the song and son Pele whose voice was recorded in the song.
