Written in Our Stars: Reunion of love teams

Another upcoming primetime television offering from Dreamscape is Written in Our Stars, a storytelling effort about love and destiny. It is the first teleserye team-up of Piolo Pascual as Gary and Toni Gonzaga as Aira. It also stars Jolina Magdangal as Eunice and Sam Milby as David in the series that has been a year in the making.

Also part of the main cast is Marco Masa as Niccolo. Andoy Ranay helms the series, which airs on ABS-CBN and worldwide via The Filipino Channel.

In the supporting cast are Sarah Lahbati as Shannon, Gelli de Belen, Noni Buencamino, Ronaldo Valdez, Bing Loyzaga, Boboy Garovillo, Sharlene San Pedro, Jairus Aquino, Shamaine Buencamino, Frances Ignacio, Moi Marcampo and Ricci Chan.

 In special participation are Marvin Agustin as well as child actors Zaijian Jaranilla as young Gary and Dexie Daulat as young Aira.

The new series also marks the reunion of former love team partners Toni and Sam. It is also a follow-up to Toni and Piolo’s 2014 blockbuster movie Starting Over Again.

 From the report of Jerry Donato, Toni is very comfortable working with Sam and Piolo, who were both romantically linked to her in the past. “When you’re given a project, you feel nervous because you’ll be working with new stars and you need to get to know them. I’m blessed to have worked with them,” she said.

“Sam was my original love teammate. We have a history of working together. As you grow older in the industry, you’re able to use your experiences in your work. This is what I will bring to the soap to use as an inspiration to make the scenes better in order to help make the scenes more natural.”

We have watched Nathaniel and 100 Days In Heaven, which gave values, inspirations and captured the heart of viewers. Both are stories of death and return to Earth with a mission. Written In Our Stars is another series that will touch the hearts of televiewers. They will see how a person struggles in finding his one true love.

 In the trailer, we are given a glimpse of how Toni and Piolo’s characters fall in love and get married. But Piolo’s character gets into a car accident which leads to his death, leaving behind Aira (Toni) and their son. Because of his good heart, Gary (Piolo) is given a second chance to return to Earth by serving as an unseen guide of Aira.

Thus, Written in Our Stars follows the realistic and hopeful storylines that Dreamscape has been cooking up for these past years. Although there are hints of fantasy in some of them, they never fail to resonate and meet the expectations of many.
