MANILA, Philippines - Did Madonna violate the law during the first night of her concert?

Drawing applause and roars from the massive audience on Wednesday night, the Queen of Pop performed and showed the side she has always been known for  - racy and rebellious.

In one part of the concert, Madonna danced with the Philippine flag draped on her shoulders. As seen from the clip below posted by a netizen, the flag even touched the floor as she was performing.

While the audience clearly enjoyed the gimmick, the move might be a violation of of Section 34 of Republic Act 8491, which prohibits the wearing of the flag "in whole or in part as a costume or uniform."

Before Madonna's The Rebel Heart Tour commenced in Manila, Batangas Archbishop Ramon Arguelles referred to Madonna as "the evil one," warning the Filipino faithful to shun her.

This is not the first time Madonna has draped a national flag on herself as she has been doing this for the final acts of her previous tours.
