MANILA, Philippines — While most guys are probably preparing for their biggest "date" of the year, Daniel Matsunaga somewhat shrugs it off.

Apparently, there's no exact plan on how and where Daniel and her girlfriend, Erich Gonzales, will celebrate Valentine's day, and it's certainly not because he is not the romantic type of guy.

On February 3, Daniel, with her sister Vanessa, was launched as the latest spokesperson for The Philippine Animal Welfare Society to promote the practice of "spay and neuter" or "kapon" of companion animals. At the launch, Daniel not only talked about the advocacy but about his plans this month.

"The thing is, we spend Valentine's day every day. I try to show my love for her in any way, and Valentine's is just a day," Matsunaga explained in an interview with Philstar.com.

"S'yempre, madami akong gustong gawin for the Valentine's, but I might have work on the 14th. May priority  sa trabaho, pero I'm sure we will find time, if not on the 14th, that's for sure," he added.

Matsunaga and Gonzales confirmed their relationship in June last year, after weeks of speculation about the real status of their relationship.

After working together in primetime soap "Two Wives,"  the real-life celebrity couple currently stars in "Be My Lady," a series that tells a love story between a foreigner and a Filipino.
