MANILA, Philippines – In response to growing interest in the media, the Teodoro F. Valencia Foundation, Inc. is setting up an eight-week seminar on journalism and mass communication. This has been an annual project of the foundation and is pursuant to one of its objectives to promote integrity and excellence in Philippine journalism.
It has lined up respectable and prominent practitioners in the field of journalism and mass communication. Topics include Ethics on Journalism to be discussed by Rolando Quintos, chairman of PNI Management Phils.; Media National Security, Eric San Juan, producer, author and political analyst; News/Science Writing and Copy Reading, Linda Bolido; Towards More Responsible Entertainment Media, Ricky Lo; The Wonder of Boxing and Other Sports, Quinito Henson; Guarding Against Libel What To Write Not To Write, lawyer Amado Valdez; Incompetence in the Newsprint and Radio Broadcasting Industries, Edward Perez; and All About Money Business Writing, Efren Cruz.
The 29th Teodoro F. Valencia Lecture Series on Journalism and Mass Communication happens today until March 18, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the T.F. Valencia Media Study Center, T. M.
