MANILA, Philippines - REtroSPECT (photo), the only retro band in the country, will have a reunion concert on Jan. 29 at the Music Museum billed as RetroWorld REtroSPECT Reunion Concert Tour 2016.
The hip band, composed of J. Martin, Goldie, Ogie, Em-J and TJ, was hailed as 23rd ALIW Award’s Best Group Performer (Hall of Fame awardee) and certified by American Federation of Musicians (AFM) of USA and Canada as internationally-renowned retro pop group.
The group will pay tribute to music icons like Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Bonnie Tyler and Boy George, among others.
Proceeds from the concert, will go to ABS-CBN Foundation’s Bantay Bata International to help the children who were abused, badly hit by calamities and life adversities.
Em-j, the member based in Italy said that performing for good is her way of giving back.
Goldie, one of the brains of the project, tells that it was simply missing the group why she thought of having a reunion concert. “When I left the group four years ago and went to Vancouver, it was really hard. I missed REtroSPECT. Now that I’m home again and performing with the group that I’ve always considered as my family.”
REtroSPECT will also perform in USA, Canada, Europe, UK and UAE.
