Child Haus Best Children Film in Dhaka filmfest

MANILA, Philippines - Luisito “Louie” Lagdameo Ignacio’s Child Haus won the Best Children Film Badal Rahman Award in the Children’s Film Section of the 14th Dhaka International Film Festival during the closing ceremony held last Jan. 22 at the National Museum Auditorium in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nine other films competed in the said category: Five from Iran, one each from Denmark, India, Turkey and France/Belgium.

Written by Palanca awardee Socorro Villanueva (who also wrote Louie’s indie film Asintado) and produced by Baby Go’s BG Productions International, Child Haus stars Katrina Halili, Leny Santos, Christopher Roxas, Ina Feleo, Tabs Sumulong; and GMA Artist Center child stars Miggs Cuaderno, Therese Malvar, Vince Magbanua, Felixia Dizon (daughter of award-winning actor Allen Dizon), Erika Yu and Mona Louise Rey.
