Living with Christ prints IEC 2016 liturgy book

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Bayard Assumption Media Foundation of the Augustinian of the Assumption (Assumptionist Fathers), makers of Living with Christ, has printed the official liturgy guide of the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) 2016 in Cebu on Jan. 24-31.

As the official liturgy publication partner, Bayard sponsored the liturgy guides for the 15,000 delegates of the IEC 2016. The liturgy book contains all the daily readings and prayers during Masses and other liturgy during the week-long conference.

In his message, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma hails the men and women of the Congress, saying that the IEC 2016, “will allow us to continue the tradition of coming together from different places in the world, both near and far, to publicly manifest our deep affection and sincere appreciation in sacramental prayer…and fraternal fellowship for the Gift of Jesus in the Sacrament par excellence.”

Fr. Bernard Holzer said that the participation of Living with Christ in the IEC 2016 is part of the congregation’s thrust of media in evangelization. “We publish Living with Christ for adults and school children, and other innovative religious books to reach a widespread and multicultural community of readers.” The Augustinians of the Assumption is marking its 10th anniversary in the Philippines this year.

Last year, Bayard also printed more than 100,000 liturgy books during Pope Francis’ visit. The donation was made possible through the Solidarity Fund of Bayard Presse in France.
