MANILA, Philippines – On Jan. 19, rock icon Lou Bonnevie (photo) will celebrate her 30th anniversary in the music industry with a fund-raising show at one of Makati’s hottest venues, 12 Monkeys, located at the new Century Mall in Kalayaan Ave., Makati City.
Lou started her career in the ‘80s. She has been keeping herself busy with a series of environmental activities and advocacy-driven shows while serving as the president of the Earthday Jam Foundation, the main beneficiary of the event. Her foundation, which is active in promoting environmental awareness especially to the youth, is in need of funds to help sustain several activities such as tree-planting, coastal clean-ups and capacity-building workshops for volunteers in the near future.
Some of the proceeds of the show will be allotted to ARUGA, a Parañaque-based NGO caring for streetchildren, which was specifically chosen by Lou.
Attendees can expect a night of fun, music and enjoyment as she takes you through a trip down memory lane, tackling various genres.
Joining her on stage are friends who have collaborated with her: Noel Cabangon, Gino Padilla, Barbie Almalbis, Basti Atardi (Wolfgang), Medwin and Eugene Marfil (True Faith), Willy Nep and more. Show starts at 8 p.m. with guitar virtuoso Jerome Rico as first act. The show is supported by Divina Law, Bright Maritime Corp., WDS, David Salon and Skin Rejuve.
