MANILA, Philippines – Priscilla Meirelles said her husband John Estrada is still adjusting with her busy schedule.

The former beauty queen is part of the upcoming TV series “Be My Lady,” which stars Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga. She’s also managing a small food business.

“Kasi ‘yong asawa ko paminsan nagtatampo, e,” she said in an interview in the ABS-CBN late-night talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday. “He’s nabigla kasi dati lagi ako naghintay sa bahay, 2 a.m. and ako sobrang lungkot. The other day sabi niya, ‘Nawala na panahon, now ako na naghintay.’”

However, she was able to explain to him and made him understand that she had to focus since it’s her first acting project.

“Asawa ko siya, dapat siya talaga ang priority ko, but I’m so thankful na he’s allowing me to experience this,” she said. “Kasi that’s once in a lifetime opportunity, so to be blessed with this project, to be able to do this it’s really a blessing that fell from the sky.”

She’s also happy that John gives her acting tips.

Priscilla said her husband advised her to “just be natural, just be yourself, don’t try to act, be natural, just like you are.”

Meanwhile, Priscilla reiterated that she doesn’t have a problem working with Janice de Belen in “Be My Lady.” Janice is the estranged wife of John.

“Wala akong problema kay Ms. Janice, we’re very civil. Hindi kaya na friends or best friends kasi iba talaga ang sitwasyon. I’m just being honest,” she said.

“Actually I’m so blessed kasi first project ko with Janice de Belen agad,” she concluded. - Joyce Jimenez
