Filipino entertainer Sharon Cuneta puts her Calabasas home up for sale

That’s the banner of a news story in a US newspaper, a clipping of which was sent to Funfare by STAR business columnist Vic Agustin (Money-Go-‘Round).

According to the story, Sharon has put her home “in a guard-gated Calabasas community” (in California) on the market for, hold your breath, $2.195 million (roughly P103 million), the same house she reportedly bought for $2M six years ago.

The two-story Traditional, built in 1977, opens to a grand foyer with marble floors, an elaborate chandelier and a sweeping staircase. A dining room done in detailed wainscoting and a living room with a fireplace sit off the formal entry. The house sits on about half an acre with a swimming pool and spa.

Other common rooms include a family room with a wet bar, a center island kitchen and a library/study. The master suite has his-and-hers bathrooms, two walk-in closets and a sitting room for a total of six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms in more than 6,600 square feet.

Outdoors, a covered patio opens to a swimming pool with a spa and waterfall feature. A built-in barbecue, a sunken trampoline and a large lawn are also on the grounds.

Oh well, what can we say but…WOW!!!!!!!

But the kids and I love the house so much so if it doesn’t sell, happy pa rin ako! Inconvenient lang kasi we don’t go there too often. I might get a condo na lang if not in L.A., baka NY or Paris. Sayang talaga yun, next village neighbor ko si JLo. Sabay kami nagbebenta now. Hahaha!”)

Nice to know that Sen. Chiz Escudero and his father-in-law Reynaldo Evangelista are now “super close.” Time, indeed, has an effective way of healing wounds. Which means that when Chiz and his wife Heart Evangelista mark their first wedding anniversary on Feb. 15, dad Rey and Heart’s mom Cecille will be around to compensate for their absence at Chiz and Heart’s 2015 wedding at the exclusive Balesin Island.

On her Instagram, Heart posted a picture of her sandwiched by dad Reynaldo and Chiz, with both men planting a kiss on Heart’s cheeks.

Heart and Chiz spent their first Christmas as husband and wife with Chiz’s twins in Japan and New Year first with the Ongpaucos and then with the Escuderos.

With the holidays over, Heart has buckled down paintings to complete her works for her next solo exhibit called Oceans Apart at the Ayala Museum from Jan. 30 to Feb. 9. Her paintings were sold out during her last exhibit.

Aki is LJ’s son by ex-boyfriend Paulo Avelino.
