Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – Director Joey Reyes confirmed in his Twitter account that there was a “ticket swapping” that happened on Friday at the opening of Metro Manila Film Festival 2015.

The “My Bebe Love” director made the confirmation after some movie-goers claimed that they bought a ticket for the said entry, but the movie printed in their tickets was a different one.

In a post by Instagram user @fennypaid, re-posted by user @aldennation, she claimed that they watched “My Bebe Love” but the movie printed in their tickets are “Beauty and the Bestie.”

#AlDubNation please be aware! Initially thought it was just a random mistake when we saw similar posts earlier but apparently it;s not! “Got word from producer:IT IS TRUE,” said Reyes in his Twitter post on Friday.

“Make sure that the title of the movie on YOUR ticket is what you want to watch. Beware of ticket swapping,” he reminded.

He added that the movie-goers should check the title of the film printed on their tickets before leaving the counter. He also encouraged the public to “REPORT anomalies or take IG pictures and POST in social media.”

Despite the controversy, he reminded the fans of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza to be “calm” but “cautious.”

“Please be calm but cautious. More important, true happiness can only be obtained by sincere and honest actions. ALDUB NATION, be above this,” he said.

Meanwhile, SM Cinema confirmed that there had been a “mistake” in the printing of some tickets, Philippine Entertainment Portal reported.

In a screen capture of their deleted post, SM Cinema said that “after verification, it was a mistake due to the high volume of tickets purchased. Apology for any inconvenience.”

They then told the movie-goers to “get your ticket replaced at the cinema booth” in case the title of the film printed in their ticket was not the one they purchased.

“Rest assured that the transaction will be counted fairly,” they added.
