Free Jessie J concert for Smart subscribers

MANILA, Philippines - Smart Communications, in partnership with MCA Music, Inc., is sharing the joy of entertainment this season by treating subscribers to a free one-night-only concert of Grammy-nominated and chart-topping diva Jessie J (photo) at the KIA Theater in Quezon City tonight.

Open to active Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid and Smart Bro subscribers on a first-come, first-served registration, the Jessie J concert is a celebration of Smart’s successful efforts to deliver entertainment to the growing number of Filipino mobile users who now embrace the Smart Life, according to Ariel Fermin, EVP and Consumer Business head for PLDT and Smart. 

“This year is a milestone for Smart in bringing an unparalleled mobile entertainment experience at the fingertips of our subscribers through apps like Spinnr, iFlix and Fox on Viewstream. This year, we also introduced the Pay with Mobile, which allows you to subscribe to Apple Music, iTunes and Apple Store using your prepaid load or charged to your postpaid account — the first service of its kind in the country,” Fermin said.

Jessie J’s exclusive concert for Smart subscribers marks the second time the 27-year-old singer and songwriter will perform in the country. She first rocked the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in her Jessie J Live In Manila concert in April last year.

Jessie J burst into stardom in 2010 with her chart-topping single Do It Like a Dude, followed by the anthemic song, Price Tag.

With a string of hits that includes Nobody’s Perfect, Domino and Laserlight, her 2011 debut album Who You Are easily became the first album by a British female artist in history to produce six or more Top 10 hits in the UK.

Her recent songs Bang Bang and Flashlight also became a smash hit in the Philippines and around the world.
