MANILA, Philippines – Now that Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” are good friends, fans are clamoring to know if there is a chance the real life relationship of the Kalyeserye love team can progress.
After all, Alden and Maine—who were only able to interact with each other freely after the events of “Eat Bulaga’s” Sa Tamang Panahon special event last October—worked together on the movie “My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore.” Has the 20-year-old star fallen for the 23-year-old actor?

“Sa amin na lang po 'yun,” Maine quipped during the press conference for “My Bebe Love” on Wednesday.
The “Eat Bulaga” mainstay also refused to disclose how “close” she and Alden are as of late, although she said they are “good friends right now.”
“Ngayon po kasi, kinikilala pa lang namin ang isa't isa. Right now, very good friends po kami, wala pong halong showbiz yun. As in, good friends po kami ngayon,” she said.
In her interview with channel news channel BBC News, Maine said she’s open to the possibility of being in a relationship with her onscreen partner.
“Wala naman pong imposible,” she said. “'Wag na lang po natin pangunahan. Tignan na lang natin sa future kung ano ang mangyayari sa amin.”

It’s been well-reported that Maine has a crush on Alden even prior to joining “Eat Bulaga.” Now that they’ve known each other personally, did the actor meet her “expectations”?
“Actually, wala naman akong expectations sa kanya. Yung first impression ko kasi sa kanya is parang tahimik and makulit din. Medyo pabebe rin. So nung nagmeet naman po, parang ganun pa rin,” she said. “So masasabi ko na na-meet yung expectations ko sa kanya.”
“Alden is a gentleman,” Maine added. “Noon pa man marami nang nagsasabi na gentleman si Alden and napatunayan ko naman kasi nagkatrabaho kami.”
Maine is part of “My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore,” together with Alden, Vic Sotto and Ai Ai delas Alas. This is her first acting project after her breakout role in “Eat Bulaga’s” Kalyeserye segment. The movie is part of the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival.
She admitted feeling nervous at first but eventually got the comfortable doing a role that’s far from her Yaya Dub character.

Vic revealed their Tape Inc. boss Tony Tuviera initially wanted Maine to undergo an acting workshop, but their director rejected the idea.
“Hindi po kami nagkamali. She has the talent for it, she has the knack for it. She’s a natural,” Vic said. ‘I would say that she’s a natural… Ibang-iba siya sa napapanood ninyo sa telebisyon.”
“Tinutulungan po nila ako dito,” she said of her co-stars.
“Naintimidate po ako nung una kay Bossing (Vic Sotto),” Maine said. “Pero okay naman po kasi tinulungan n’ya ako. Ginabayan po n’ya ako.”
