Bret Jackson on real score with Ella Cruz: We’re just friends

MANILA, Philippines – Bret Jackson said he’s “just friends” with Ella Cruz.

He admitted that they went out on a couple of dates, but maintained that they’re just friends.

“Ella’s nineteen, she’s still experiencing [new] things [and] I want her to experience things,” he said in an interview on Tuesday. “When I was nineteen I wasn’t ready to have a real settled down relationship.”

The two were linked early this year when they worked on TV5’s “Wattpad Presents: Hot and Cold.”

Bret added that he doesn’t want to hinder Ella in achieving her dreams, especially when it comes to her showbiz career.

“I want her career to do good, so kung mayro’n siyang ibang love team I don’t want to be stopping that,” she said.

Bret also affirmed that he’s willing to wait for Ella saying, “she’s a special girl to me. If not now, hopefully someday [puwede na].”

The two recently finished the independent film “Checklist” which will be in cinemas on January 2016.

Bret is also busy promoting the Carlo J. Caparas film “Angela Merkado” starring Andi Eigenmann. It will be in cinemas on December 2.

He’s also working on a TV show with Yassi Pressman titled “Class 3-C Has a Secret.”
