MANILA, Philippines – Andi Eigemann is back in the dating game as she dates a non-showbiz guy.
“Hindi pa kami, actually,” she replied when asked if they’re already in a relationship, in an interview on Tuesday at the press conference of “Angela Merkado.”
“Masaya ako pero I'm taking it slow this time,” she added. “I guess, what I meant is basing from my experiences from the past, I was young, medyo masyadong nagiging controversial 'yong mga nakakarelasyon ko.”
Andi refused to give details about the guy, asking the members of the press to “respect his privacy.”
All she said was she’s happy that “magkasundo kami in a shallow sense, but we can also connect in a deep level, something I never thought I'll find again.”
Before the non-showbiz guy, Andi was linked to Brett Jackson and her “greatest love” Jake Ejercito whom she’s friends with.
She even told him about the guy he’s dating and he told her to “do it as long as it makes you happy.”
Meanwhile, Andi clarified her statement in a previous interview where she said that Jake is the “father” of her daughter Ellie.
“I explained, you don't become a father by biology, you can be a father by faith,” she clarified. “It doesn't matter who the real father is, what matters is who has been there from the very beginning, which is why Jake is the father.”
“If people assume that I'm saying Jake is really the father, then go ahead and believe that,” she added.
Andi is the lead star in the Carlo J. Caparas film “Angela Merkado,” where she stars with Donna Villa, Bembol Roco, Epi Quizon, Paolo Contis, Polo Ravales, Felix Roco, Marita Zobel, Ana Roces, Cj Caparas and Peach Caparas. It’ll be in cinemas on December 2.
