Charo feted in NYC

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio, attended a private welcome reception organized by the United Mindoro International, Inc. two days prior to the 2015 International Emmy Awards held last night (Nov. 23 US Time) at New York Hilton where she was the gala chair. Piolo Pascual was presenter.

“Ms. Charo Santos-Concio is an internationally respected broadcast producer and executive who has spearheaded the growth of her organization to a leading position in the Philippines and the region beyond,” said Bruce Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS) in the organization’s website.

At the Mindoro welcome reception, Charo told everyone that she was a big movie fan during her high school days and that she would queue at the ABS-CBN studios to watch variety shows. She also mentioned projects that she is involved in to make her native Mindoro better and more lucrative in the tourism industry. Her province mates at the event expressed their full support and pride for their kabayan.

Apart from being one of the most talented actresses in Philippine Cinema, Charo has been included in the list of the most beautiful Filipinas. She was Baron Travel Girl and Miss Green Revolution winner during the mid-’70s.

Later that day, another reception was held at the residence of Consul General Mario Lopez de Leon Jr. Piolo joined Charo in the event.
