Kaycee, Francesca SM Kids champions

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It was a magical afternoon for Kaycee dela Cruz of SM San Lazaro and Ma. Francesca Rojas of SM Megamall, when they were named winners of SM Kids’ Sing and Act like Elsa and Anna Grand Finals held recently at the SM Mega Mall-Mega Fashion Hall.  The two sang their hearts out channeling the Disney animated film Frozen’s beloved princesses.

Kaycee mesmerized the judges and the audience as Queen Elsa, with her voice and flawless interpretation of the Queen’s magical movements.  Francesca, on the other hand, was the best Princess Anna, charming everyone with her cheerful singing and great acting true to the character of Princess Anna. They each received amazing prizes: A trip to Hong Kong Disneyland for four and a modeling stint with SM Kids Fashion as the grand prize winners.

Other finalists included Queen Elsa first runner-up Krista Lois Mesina of SM Fairview and second runner-up Charliz Bamba (SM Tarlac). Carmela Lorzano of SM Lipa and Angel Faith Parba of SM Davao were first and second runners-up as Princess Anna.

The program was hosted by Princess Velasco, Vicor Music’s multi-awarded recording artist, ASAP Sessionista and country’s Acoustic Princess; who also performed some songs from Frozen.

The board of judges included Veronica Cabalinan, country director for Retail & Licensing, Disney Consumer Products The Walt Disney Company (Philippines) Inc; Tracy Garcia, former project manager of GMA Films and talent manager for GMA Artist Center; and Denise Sagun, singer from The Voice Philippines Season 1 Team Bamboo, who is also a vocal coach.
