MANILA, Philippines — "Pinoy Big Brother" alumnus Tommy Esguerra admits that he is now in love with Miho Nishida.

"I'm in love with her," Tommy said when asked what he feels for Miho in an interview with ABS-CBN's late night talk show "Tonight with Boy Abunda" aired Tuesday.

Tommy and Miho met as contestants of the ABS-CBN reality show "Pinoy Big Brother: 737," where their relationship eventually blossomed into romance.

Miho was declared the show's adult big winner, while Tommy placed second.

The 21-year-old model-turned-reality show star said love at first sight for him.

"I can't say it's immediately 'Oh my God, I'm in love with this girl.' It just happened over the course of being in the house," he explained. "Maybe in the first two weeks, I started to fall and I didn't know how to handle it."

Tommy added she thought Miho is "attractive, cool, funny, cute" when they were first getting to know each other inside the Big Brother house.

Asked to react to naysayers claiming he is only courting the 22-year-old Miho to become famous.

"That kinda sucks, for people to say that. But it's not true," he said. "For me, it doesn't matter because what I feel is how I feel."

Tommy also said he is happy he and Miho do get support from fans and family, including his mother.

"My mom wants me to be careful because she's my mother and she loves me. She doesn't know what might happen and she doesn't want me to have a broken heart, but she supports me," he said. — Chuck Smith
