MANILA, Philippines - “I am very happy with my life,” says host, actress and entrepreneur Dianne Medina.
Dianne, who is a devout Catholic, says that she centers her life around Christ, and she believes this is what gives her inner joy.
“I have a very rich spiritual life. I serve in the church every Sunday as a lector/commentator. I go to the Adoration Chapel every day after work to have a half-hour quiet time with the Lord Jesus. Kahit may work, I really go there every day,” adds Dianne, who is also very contented with her love life, celebrating her and her actor-boyfriend Rodjun Cruz’s eighth anniversary this year.
Dianne co-hosts Good Morning Boss on the People’s Television Network, does the live segment for the beauty product Ever Bilena in Unang Hirit on GMA 7, stars on GMA’s teleserye Beautiful Strangers and owns an events company.
She started in showbiz when she won a contest in the Wazzup Wazzup news comedy show on Studio 23. That time, she was also doing her on-the-job training at ABS-CBN. Director Edgar Mortiz noticed her and cast her in the youth-oriented show Let’s Go with Alex Gonzaga, Bangs Garcia and Charee Pineda. From showbiz, she learned to not be sensitive.
Dianne won the Philippine National Police Individual Media Award for Hosting and the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) Award for Best Outstanding News Anchor — achievements she is most proud of. She was also nominated as Best Morning Show Host at the Star Awards.
Outside showbiz, Dianne has supported foundations such as ChildHaus Foundation for children with cancer, the Philippine Orthopedic Center and the Philippine Cancer Society.
Dianne continues to draw inspiration from her mother, who passed away four years ago, after a 10-year battle with cancer.
“Kahit may sakit siya, she was still working for her family. She served the church as the president of the education ministry and as a lector/commentator. Si Mommy talaga ang naglapit sa amin kay Jesus Christ. She was in pain all throughout but she never complained; instead she thanked God for everything,” shares Dianne.
Amidst her very busy schedule, Dianne finds time to relax by going to YSA Skin Care Experts for her regular facial massage, availing of home service massage, and having movie and dinner dates with loved ones.
“Simple lang ako. Movie, coffee and dinner. I don’t like clubbing, bars, etc. I don’t drink and I don’t smoke,” she says.
Ever since Dianne started in showbiz, YSA has taken care of her skin.
“YSA will not just take good care of your skin, maganda sa kanila yung relationship nila sa ‘yo talagang aalagaan ka. Parang family talaga. You know you’re in good hands,” says Dianne, whose usual treatments include Diamond Peel, Whitening Mask, Radio Frequency and Cavislim.
Dianne cuts down on rice and tries to work out at the gym regularly.
Looking forward to the future, Dianne plans to stay long in showbiz while managing her events company, find a new business opportunity, and settle down soon and build her own family.
