Why is Ogie not part of Regine Velasquez’s upcoming concert?

MANILA, Philippines – Regine Velasquez explained why her husband Ogie Alcasid is not part of her upcoming concert “Regine at the Theater.”

“If you notice hindi naman porket magkasama kami lagi kami nagso-show together,” she said durig the press conference for her concert on Tuesday. “Mas hindi nga kami nagwo-work together now especially he’s with channel five, and I’m with channel seven.”

Her guests for her four-night concert are Jonalyn Viray and Aicele Santos who will be alternating for the two sets of weekends, and Audie Gimora who will be present on all the shows.

Her concert will be on November 7, 8, 21, and 22 at Solaire Resort and Casino.

When it comes to endorsing politicians in 2016, Regine chose to be seen neutral.

“Normally I don’t want to get involved. I’m usually not very interested,” she explained. “Although it’s good to get involved, it’s good to do your share... if we want things to change, we need to get involved.”

The Asia’s Songbird noted that it was her husband who usually decides on such matters.

“Ang asawa ko normally ang kinakausap nila tungkol d'yan,” she said. “Pero ako, if ever I’m going to support a candidate, siguro dahil susuportahan ko ang sinusuportahan ng asawa ko.”

“Right now I think it’s also too early for us to decide,” she added.
