Vice Ganda on ‘Eat Bulaga’: Hindi namin matatalo yan

MANILA, Philippines – Vice Ganda addressed the ongoing competition between ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” and GMA-7’s noontime show “Eat Bulaga.”
During the Saturday, October 24 episode of “It’s Showtime,” the comedian said their program was never expected to beat the rival noontime show in the ratings game and urged fans to stop the bashing and bickering about the two programs on social media.
According to Vice, the hosts of “It’s Showtime” felt hesitant when their timeslot was moved from late morning to noontime, pitting them against “Eat Bulaga.”
Lahat kami, lahat tayo nagkaisa na ayaw namin maging noontime, gusto namin morning show lang,” he shared.
The 39-year-old actor said “It’s Showtime” had no intention to compete with “Eat Bulaga.”
Hindi namin matatalo yan,” Vice said.
He also commented on the social media bashing the show was receiving. The October 24 episode of “It’s Showtime,” the show’s sixth anniversary celebration, competed with “Eat Bulaga’s” Sa Tamang Panahon special event, held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
Nonetheless, Vice said he’s grateful for “It’s Showtime” and for what it has done for him and his co-hosts.
