QCIFF 2015 to screen five Asian short films

MANILA, Philippines - Quezon City Film Festival 2015 (QCIFF) is presenting Screenshots: Asian Shorts, which features five short films from Taiwan, Philippines, Cambodia and Thailand.

The ongoing festival until Oct. 31 features Nia’s Door by Lau Kek Huat; Three Wheels by Kavich Neang; The Young Man Who Came From the Chee River by Wichanon Somumjarn; Junilyn Has by Carlo Francisco Manatad; and A Souvenir From Switzerland by Sorayos Prapapan.

The festival continues to wow audiences, film enthusiasts and the media with its outstanding roster of films. Aside from exhibiting short features, QCIFF has other film sections such as Screen International, Tribute to Screenwriter: Lualhati Bautista, Indie Nacional, Reloaded, Back Throwback, Rainbow QC, Music Genius, Asian Cinerama, Special Screening, Special Halloween Screening, Special Children’s Screenings and Movies in Director in Focus: Gaspar Noe.

Now on its third year, QCIFF 2015 continues to promote Quezon City as the premier arts and culture destination of the country. It is also known for allocating funds to promising filmmakers through Circle Competition for New Filmmakers and DoQC International Documentary.

Also happening is QCinema Forum Series where cinema stalwarts get together to air thoughts and propose solutions about various filmmaking topics such as animation, scriptwriting and international filming. The workshop series is open to all and free of charge.

QCIFF 2015 is happening at the Quezon City Museum, Trinoma, Gateway Mall, and Robinsons Galleria cinemas.
