Iza Calzado: Life doesn’t stop at 30

Iza Calzado dismisses the belief that a woman’s life stops when she reaches the age of 30.

MANILA, Philippines – Iza Calzado dismissed the belief that a woman’s life stops when she reaches the age of thirty.

“Women only become more beautiful as they age,” she said in an interview on Tuesday when she was launched as the newest ambassador of beauty product Pond’s.

She admitted being scared when she reached the age of thirty, but later psyched herself.

“Kailangan excited ako. Kasi kung hindi saan ako pupulutin, di ba? Instead of focusing on the negative, I think of the positive,” Iza said.

“Go, enjoy life, live it! The last thing you should worry in life is your lines,” she added.

When it comes to expressing one’s self, Iza believes that everyone is entitled to have their own opinion but should tone down when comes to posting on social media.

“I think that one of the best gifts in life is expressing yourself and feeling emotions,” she said. “We all have different beliefs and different habits, and different ways of expressing ourselves. But there are parameters that I follow. I’ll not be bitter on social media and keep complaining.”

“That’s not what it’s made for in my opinion,” she added.

The Kapamilya actress believes that as an actress, her social media posts should be something that will “inspire” her followers.

As for her bashers, Iza tells them: “I’ll post what I think makes me and my followers happy. If you don’t like my posts, don’t follow me.”
