#3LOGYinMANILA at MOA Arena

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Pinoy fans, brace yourselves, as the cuties of The Vamps are returning to Manila together with US bands Before You Exit (BYU) and The Tide.

After the boys took to the stage in front of 15,000 fans this year, The Vamps is scheduled to return for another show on Jan. 30, 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena as part of the 2015 World Tour. Also performing are the pop threesome Before You Exit with special guest pop-rock group The Tide. Dubbed as #3LOGYinMANILA, the event is presented by Music Management International (#MMILive).

The British boy band put on an exciting show during their Manila gig last February, as they played songs from their debut album Meet The Vamps. The four lads have been hard at work on their second album and will present new songs from the new CD during their Philippine concert next year. The Vamps’ sophomore album is set to be released in November stepping up with a dancier vibe like in the new single Wake Up.

The Vamps was formed in 2012 and had already scored chart-topping singles Can We Dance, Wild Heart and Oh Cecilia. Bradley Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans met and formed through the power of social networks. They won MTV’s Brand New 2013 award and became one of the biggest breakthrough acts in the same year.

Also returning to Manila for another energetic and entertaining performance is the Orlando, Florida-based pop trio, Before You Exit, which consists of brothers Connor, Riley and Toby McDonough. Don’t miss another chance to watch an impressive set with the upbeat and fun original hits and covers, such as the latest radio single, the anthemic Model, I Like That, Soldier, What Makes You Beautiful and Thinking Out Loud to name a few.

Throughout the band’s musical journey, BYU has shared the stage with such artists as The Wanted, Olly Murs, Cody Simpson and all-girl group Fifth Harmony. Formed in 2007, the band originally consisted of Connor McDonough, Braiden Wood and Thomas Silvers. A year later, Connor’s younger brother, Riley joined the group and followed by Toby in mid-2012. The line-up changed to the three brothers with Braiden and Thomas for live performances. In August 2009, they released their debut EP, A Short Story Long. March 2011 was their next release of another EP, Letting Go. I Like That came out in February 2013.

Currently signed to The Vamps’ new record label under EMI/Universal is the newly-formed band, The Tide. The LA-based teen boy band will be in Manila for the first time as support to The Vamps’ 2015 World Tour. The band first started posting covers of popular songs on YouTube such as She Looks So Perfect by 5 Seconds of Summer and Steal My Girl by One Direction. They later on started performing their original songs on The Vamps’ World Tour 2015 such as Falling In Love Tonight, What You Give and The Rest Of Us. The Tide’s current covers available online are Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon, Stitches by Shawn Mendes or What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber.
