MANILA, Philippines — Joey De Leon took to Twittter to react to Lea Salonga's controversial "kababawan" tweet.
On Saturday, the Broadway actress earned the ire of a number of AlDub fans after she posted a tweet asking: 'Okay lang sa akin ang kababawan, pero hanggang doon na lamang ba tayo?"

She later on clarified that her tweet is not about Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza's popular "Eat Bulaga" love team.
She also said in reply to her Twitter followers that she does not follow AlDub and that she not yet "latched on to" the popular love team.
"So stop the hatred, the negative assumptions, whatever you're throwing at me. Just send me links so I know what the fuss is about," Lea said.

On Sunday, the "Eat Bulaga" co-host addressed Lea's comments.

He added:
Kasi Ingles yung "basher". Tingin nila sosyal sila, may class! Ganon

Baka KABEBEWAN! #ALDUBandPROUD

Joey also asked his followers what they think of people in showbiz who are not familiar with AlDub.
#ALDUBandPROUD

He later tweeted.
#ALDUBThisMustBeLove

Ayaw nila nang MABABAW kaya NASA ILALIM SILA! #ALDUBThisMustBeLove

This isn't the first time Lea's posts on Twitter account have made news. In an interview, the singer-actress said she does not mind be called a "patola queen" for responding to bashers on Twitter.
