Funny how the AlDub Nation is taking its devotion to the Eat, Bulaga! kalyeserye love team of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub/Maine Mendoza seriously.
The AlDub Nation posts the hashtag of every episode of the kalyeserye. They have a name for even the minutest thing near Alden and Yaya Dub (such as “Victor Plywood,” Long Table, Small Table, Straw, etc.) and, believe it or not, a “creed”…
Panatang Maka-AlDub
Iniibig ko ang AlDub, akin silang hinahangaan
Tahanan ng aking kaligayahan, pinakikilig
Ako at tinutulungang maging malakas
Mapaghingtay at matutong magtiis
Dahil mahal ko ang AlDub diringgin ko
Amg mga payo ni Lola Nidora
Susundan ko ang kalyeserye ng Eat, Bulaga!
Tutuparin ko ang pangakong mananatili
Sa AlDub…Naglilingkod, nag-aaral at
Nagdarasal ng buong katapatan
Iaalay ko ang aking buhay, pangarap at
Pagsisikap sa bansang Maka-AlDub
Last Thursday, Yaya Dub “forgot” herself, became Maine Mendoza and yelled, “Alden!” Yes, it was her own voice, not dubsmashed.
AlDub Nation has declared today, Sept. 26, as National Pabebe Wave Day and AlDub-nationals are encouraged to do the “pabebe wave” at those around them and those they meet wherever they are. Sign of “brotherhood” and “sisterhood” daw. Or, if you may, “AlDub Nationhood.”
Funfare’s “pabebe-insider” VDPA said that today’s episode is something different…”Kaibang-kaibang-kaiba na hindi pa nawi-witness o nakikita ng buong mundo. Basta, kaiba!”
Clue: Alden and now Maine will have another date at Lola Nidora’s mansion, sitting opposite each other at Small Table, not Long Table that separated them on last Saturday’s (Sept. 19) episode that netted more than 12 million tweets. This time, Lola Nidora will leave the lovers alone, with Yaya Dub finally acting her real self (Maine Mendoza).
“There will only be a camera and a microphone around them,” added the VDPA. “Bahala silang dalawa kung ano ang gagawin nila. They will talk, definitely, or they can touch and hold hands and, why not, maybe dissolve into a warm embrace. Wala nang makakahadlang.”
The VDPA is predicting that today’s episode will generate tweets predicted to surpass the 12M-mark.
Alden Richards: Excited about his no-holds-barred date with Maine Mendoza in tomorrow’s episode of the Eat, Bulaga! kalyeserye
“Big surprise,” said Bulaga host Joey de Leon. “Pati kami (including Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Allan K who monitor the kalyeserye from the studio) hindi namin alam. Kaya nasu-suspense din kami, nag-aabang din kami.”
Incidentally, Funfare readers have been asking who is the “designer” (take note: in quotation marks) in-charge of the identical daily attires of Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola), Tinidora (Jose Manalo) and Paolo Ballesteros (Tidora), plus their bodyguards Rogelio/Rogelio/Rogelio (for Lola Nidora), Cuando/Cuando/Cuando (Tinidora) and Bernardo/Bernardo/Bernardo (Tidora).
“Wala lang,” said Joey. “There’s no designer.”
I guess it’s the staff who buys the trio’s attires from…an ukay-ukay, or the nearby Kamuning Market?
Wherever or whatever, Wally, Jose and Paolo are just as loved by the AlDub Nation in whatever attires they are in. It’s their antics that draw the laughter heard ‘round the world. Give them three cheers for helping keep the kalyeserye the favorite stress-reliever of Filipinos all over the world.
