Jericho Rosales to replace JM De Guzman in MMFF entry?

MANILA, Philippines - It seems Jennylyn Mercado has a new leading man.
A Pang-Masa column published Thursday reports that Jericho Rosales will replace JM De Guzman as Jennylyn's co-star in the movie "Walang Forever," an entry in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
According to the report, the movie's production staff is happy to have chosen Jericho as this would be the first time the actor would star in a romantic-comedy.
"Walang Forever," to be directed by Dan Villegas and written by Antoinette Jadaone, was slated to star Jennylyn and JM.
The casting was supposedly a major coup, as it would unite two actors from 2014's most successful romantic-comedies - JM's "That Thing Called Tadhana" (written and directed by Jadaone) and Jennylyn's "English Only, Please" (directed by Villegas and co-written by Jadaone).
The alleged change in casting was preceded by reports that JM would also be replaced in his ongoing ABS-CBN afternoon drama "All of Me."
The reported change in "Walang Forever," however, isn't the only casting change in this year's MMFF.
According to Star entertainment editor Ricky Lo in his Funfare column last week, Derek Ramsay will replace Herbert Bautista as Kris Aquino's in the movie MMFF entry "Mr. & Mrs. Split."
