MANILA, Philippines - It was a jampacked and star-studded red carpet premiere for the historical action epic Heneral Luna last Sept. 6 at SM Megamall’s Cinema 8 and 9.
Directed by Jerrold Tarog and produced by Artikulo Uno Productions, the movie based on the life and times of General Antonio Luna has recently been garnering critical acclaim for its thought-provoking depiction of the Philippine-American war.
Aside from the movie’s lead stars, led by John Arcilla, Mon Confiado, Epy Quizon, Joem Bascon, Leo Martinez, Nonie Buencamino, Bing Pimentel, Ketchup Eusebio, Archie Alemania and Alex Medina, also present were producers Eduardo Rocha and Fernando Ortigas, indie film industry movers and shakers, cineastes, film critics, as well as members of the press and the movie’s technical and production crew.
Also seen showing their support for the film were Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez, Rhian Ramos, Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino, Sid Lucero, TJ Trinidad, Dennis Padilla, Rommel Padilla, Vandolph Quizon and Benjamin Alves.
Fans lined up patiently along the sidelines for the perfect selfie moment with their favorite stars and were also thrilled with the limited edition Heneral Luna premium merchandise and giveaways.
