The names of the nominees are out and voting is now open for all categories at the MTV EMA 2015. These include the Best Southeast Asia Act where our very own heartthrob James Reid is in the running and for which his screen love and wildcard nominee Nadine Lustre was last week chosen by fans via social vote.
Note that this is not JaDine in the running but James and Nadine as solo artists. This is clearly a repeat of the recent Philpop Music Festival where James and Nadine competed separately. James performed Musikaw while Nadine did Sa Ibang Mundo with Kean Cipriano. Nadine won that one. Time now to vote and find out who will get an MTV trophy.
They are competing against some of the region’s best. Faizal Tahir (Malaysia), NOAH (Indonesia), Slot Machine (Thailand), Son Tung M-TP (Vietnam) and The Sam Willows (Singapore). So make sure you go and visit mtvema.com to cast your vote. Not just for either James or Nadine but also for your other favorites.
On top of the chosen ones is everybody’s favorite girl Taylor Swift with a record-breaking nine nominations. These are for her hit single Bad Blood, including Best Collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. Next in line is the hot comeback star of the moment, Justin Bieber, with six nods. They are both nominated for Best US Act, too. We will now also get to find out how fans regard One Direction minus one member. Will they still vote for 1D or will 5 Seconds of Summer now be taking over the boy group throne? Both are in the Best Pop and Biggest Fans categories.
