Success stories featured in GRR TNT

MANILA, Philippines - Tomorrow, on GMA News TV’s Gandang Ricky Reyes Todo Na Toh (GRR TNT), host Ricky Reyes features inspirational stories of self-made millionaires. Very few were born with silver spoon in the mouth who need not start from scratch; a great majority base his fortune to luck, God’s blessing, business acumen and perseverance.

From Pampanga hails furniture designer and maker Myrna Bituin. “It all started with a dream. With hope, hard work and artistry I inherited from my grandparents, the small furniture shop I built became a byword and orders from foreign shores poured in. My buyers say I craft world-class pieces,” says Myrna.

Cates Lopez was born with a leg disability but this did not stop him from earning a college degree. What he lacks in mobility urged him to open a small family business that prospered later on.

Joselyn was once a salon employee. She saved and studied at the Ricky Reyes Learning Institute (RRLI). After graduation, she taught cosmetology and put up her own salon. “It is true that when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true,” Joselyn says.

Most parents are against the K-12 curriculum, saying that the additional two years of high school means additional financial burden. The show invites resource persons from the Department of Education and TESDA to shed light on the issue.

GRR TNT airs Saturdays at 9 a.m. and is produced by Scripto-Vision.
