#UltimateBandkada search winners

MANILA, Philippines - Greenwich, the biggest pizza chain in the country, recently ended its six-month long search for the #UltimateBandkada with a bang at a final showdown competition at Valkyrie, The Palace at Uptown BGC.

Eight finalists — SYVA, Sweet December, Papapeta, Offlane Pitch, Hiyas, Invisible Drums, B-Boys and Adonai — performed their own rendition of an original Greenwich song written by award-winning composer, producer and singer Thyro Alfaro. The song revolves around sharing and bonding with friends over great food, which creates the ultimate barkada experience, a philosophy which Greenwich has been espousing for many years.

Each performance was judged by Viva EVP MG Mozo and Civ Fontanilla from Viva Records, Mark Bautista, Thyro Alfaro, Albert Cuadrante and Greenwich’s Pamela Reyes and Jericho Fernando of JB Music.

After all the bands performed and the judges’ votes were tallied, event hosts Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras announced the winners. Papapeta won third place and P40,000 and received the Favorite ng Barkada award with the most online votes through the #UltimateBandkada website. Offlane Pitch placed second and took home P60,000, while the three-member band, B-Boys, won the grand prize of P100,000, a one-year music contract with Viva Records and a management contract with Viva Artist Agency.

The fun, musical night was capped off with a rousing performance by Climax and chill beats by DJ DCFER.
