MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Malls celebrate Grandparent’s Day with a series of mini concerts, featuring the Manila Sound Project (photo) composed of Sonny Parsons of Hagibis, Sampaguita, Male Rigor of VST and Company, Bob Guzman and Gary Ariola of The Boyfriends. The concert series will kick off on Sept. 10 at the Robinsons Place Manila’s Midtown Atrium. Then, it will go to Robinsons Galleria on Sept. 11, Robinsons Magnolia’s Atrium, Sept. 12; and Robinsons Metroeast, Sept. 13. Shows start at 5 p.m. and free.
Manila Sound Project will also see in solo acts, singing greatest hits like Hagibis’ Nanggigil Kami; The Boyfriends’ Sumayaw Sumunod; and VST & Company’s Tayo Magsayawan.
The music of the ’60s and ’70s will be performed by live bands at the Robinsons Place Imus; Robinsons Place Dasmariñas; Robinsons Sta. Rosa; and Robinsons Los Baños. Free coffee and mementos await grandparents on Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is free.
