The CompanY inks contract with Universal Records Philippines
MANILA, Philippines - The CompanY has much to celebrate on its 30th year. With two new music videos, a gold award for the group’s current album Lighthearted 2, a Parangal Award from the City of Manila and a successful sold-out 30th anniversary concert at the Solaire Theater, the members are not resting on their laurels.
Last Aug. 6, Moy Ortiz, Annie Quintos, Sweet Plantado, Cecile Bautista and OJ Mariano signed a two-year contract deal with a new record label — Universal Records Philippines.
“Such a blessing to be in the family of one of the industry’s progressive record labels. Thank you, Universal Records, Kathleen Dy Go, Peter Chan and Ramon Chuaying for the trust. What a milestone for our group. We really feel the love and respect from them and after the contract signing, they surprised me and OJ with a cake for our birthdays. What a heartwarming gesture,” said Moy.
Universal Records Philippines will be releasing The CompanY’s 25th album soon.
