Janine receives NYC award

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of the International Youth Day last Aug. 12, Janine Gutierrez (third from right) was given a special recognition as Youth Advocate by the National Youth Commission (NYC) at the recently-concluded first Youth Leading Others (YoLO) Awards held at the Skydome of SM North EDSA. Janine was chosen as one of the youth ambassadors and will be joining young leaders in the country to inspire and be role model to the Filipino youth.

The actress feels honored to be selected as one of the country’s youth ambassadors. ‘It’s an honor and a challenge to become the new ambassador of NYC. To be considered as a role model for young people is a big challenge for me and I hope that I will be able live up to that challenge. I hope that I can be an example to all young people and I can be their voice in our society,’ she said.
